Google Adds Social Plugin Reporting to Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools

Google has added new tools to Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools that allow you to monitor the effect that +1 and other social plugins, such as Facebook’s Like Button, have on your website’s traffic.

The new +1 analytics includes Search Impact Report which shows you how +1s impact your organic search traffic. You’ll be able to see how +1s impact your clickthrough rate, total amount of +1s on a specific page, as well as clickthrough rates with and without +1 annotation.

“You can find out if your clickthrough rate changes when personalized recommendations help your content stand out,” Google software engineer Dan Rodney wrote in a blog post “Do this by comparing clicks and impressions on search results with and without +1 annotations. We’ll only show statistics on clickthrough rate changes when you have enough impressions for a meaningful comparison.”

Stocks Face Jobs Report Test

Stocks are in for a major reality check this week, with the jobs report for June on tap for Friday.

Stronger-than-expected manufacturing data helped stocks log the best weekly gains in two years last week. But stocks had been mired in a slump throughout May and June, as a series of economic reports showed the economy was not growing as fast as investors hoped.

June’s employment report will be especially crucial as investors seek a fresh snapshot of the nation’s employment picture, said Tim Ghriskey, chief investment officer at Solaris Asset Management.

Weekly unemployment filings, which serve as a real-time indicator for the job market, have come in above the critical 400,000 level for the past 12 weeks. That prolonged weakness has dampened hopes for June’s report.

Economists surveyed by CNNMoney expect the economy added 120,000 jobs last month. Typically, the economy needs to add about 150,000 just to keep pace with population growth. Read all post…

Forex – GBP/CHF Down In Asian Trading Hours

Forex Pros – pros The British Pound was lower against the Swiss Franc on Monday.

GBP/CHF was trading at 1.3617, down 0.11% at time of writing.

The pair was likely to find support at 1.3268, Wednesday’s low, and resistance at 1.3657, Friday’s high.

Meanwhile, the British Pound was up against the U.S. Dollar and down against the Euro, with GBP/USD gaining 0.001% to hit 1.6074 and EUR/GBP rising 0.19% to hit 0.9053.

Counting My Blessings On Saturday Afternoon

Every day is a good day to count blessings, but on the Saturday of a holiday weekend, I can do it in a more leisurely fashion. Thanks to IBN member Margie Lemons of Hill Country Haiku Soap, I discovered the PicFrame iPhone app, kind of like Picnik for your smart phone. I discovered the app when Margie posted a collage of her gorgeous handmade soaps on her FaceBook Page. Heres what I made with it this afternoon.

Its no different than what I can make online with Picnik, but I can make the collage quickly using photos in my iPhones camera roll. June was filled with blessings. Fathers Day of course was special, as was the day a dear friend showed up unannounced at my front door with fresh flowers. Then there was the afternoon my kids picked and presented me with little flower they found in the woods. Finally, Ill always treasure the day my daughter and I spent at the swimming pool just the two of us. I added my collage to the digital Gratitude Journal in my iPhone.
