Cisco recently launched Cisco WebEx Meetings app for Android platform, application that was previously available for iPhone and Blackberry. Cisco’s mobile applications are helping users collaborate while on the move allowing them to host or attend virtual meetings from any location.

With WebEx Meeting Android app users can attend meeting with full screen view and audio options, such as free VoIP and a direct call-in number. You can view content shared by participants in your web conference, including documents, apps, or screen sharing. It also allows you to chat with individual conference participants or with everyone in the meeting. Next you can see who is attending your meeting, and how they joined, with mobile and computer user icons.

The app has Android-specific features that allow you to view your upcoming meetings on the WebEx widget, and you can access meeting instantly from your Android home screen.

Additionally, there is a streamlined sign-on process, and the ability to easily start, schedule, cancel, and end meetings. You can invite people to join meetings directly from your contact list, assign presenter role to another participant or expel participants when needed. Downloading the WebEx Meetings for Android app or attending any WebEx meetings you’ve been invited to join is free of charge. One feature that is currently not available for Android devices is video-sharing.

Cisco WebEx Meetings for Android is available in English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, and Dutch. Every other device language will default to English.

WebEx Meetings for Android works over both 3G and Wi-Fi networks and helps you stay connected at all times.
